Well-designed but bad service
The Delivery.com app is better designed, IMO, than Foodler, DoorDash, and other delivery apps Ive used. Its easy to browse and search restaurants and place orders... when it works.
BUT there are serious service problems the app should be designed to avoid. Ive received coupon codes that turn out to be irredeemable. Once I received an order that was missing an item and had to spend several minutes on the phone with customer service before they agreed to refund the tax and tip on the item (an extra $3–4) rather than just the ticket price. Once I placed an order and then received a call informing me that the restaurant had closed 20 minutes before the order was placed. 10 minutes later, I placed a second order and later received a call informing me that that restaurant did not deliver to my area. I asked the dispatcher whether Delivery.com often listed restaurants customers could not actually order from, expecting the answer to be, "No, that must have been a mistake, and were looking into it." Instead, they said, "Yes, apparently quite often." And so on.
Unless customer service seriously turns around, I will be using Delivery.com to browse restaurants and literally any other app to actually place my orders.
